This spacious, comfortable 250 seat art deco eatery has a full bar, old-time luncheonette counter and a colorful ceiling painted by a local artist. Well-known for authentic Kosher N.Y. delicatessen like double-steamed pastrami and corned beef pickled on premises as well as traditional Eastern European cookery like stuffed cabbages, potato pancakes and matzo ball soup, virtually everything at Ben’s is made from scratch.

The best kept secret however, just might be the Romanian tenderloin, a hangar steak smothered in sautéed onions.

The extensive, moderately priced menu also offers a variety of crisp, fresh salads, half pound beef burgers, fresh-cut fries, wraps, omelets, chicken dishes plus all the crunchy pickles and signature cole slaw you can manage. Baking is done in house, too, so save room for dessert.
